For those of you who are fans of House, you may or may not already know about this shining little tidbit of casting information for season 7. And if you didn't, now you do! I, for one, am very excited to have this lady back on my television.

Hi guys,

After about a year of thinking about it I've finally decided to make a Murphy moodtheme.

What I need is input as to what scenes you would like to see used for what moods. The full list of moods can be found here.

Also if you have any requests re. size, borders etc just comment here.

One post talks about what some of the actors thought their character's backgrounds were and the other was talking about the possibility of bringing the show back for a short run in the lead-up to the 2012 election and this got me thinking about what the characters would be up to now.

I think Murphy would be as Candice and Diane suggested hosting a talkshow, the show would be based in DC and would be a mix of left-wing politics and profiles of interesting people (not necessarily celebrities) and would be very cutting and humorous. Personally I think Murphy would have had two or three fairly long, serious relationships but has ultimately chosen to be single. She would be struggling a little with letting Avery go as he prepares to start college (Avery would be 18 in May). I think she would be in a really good place and has come to terms with a lot of her demons as she has aged.

I think Corky would have gotten married once more, maybe to a player in the Republican party and had child (I think a daughter) but that would have eventually ended in divorce. I think that now she is at peace with the idea of not having the traditional southern fairytale life and is no longer seeking it out. I think she is still close to Murphy and Jim particularly. Professionally I think she is going from strength to strength and is the anchor or a major news show, like Murphy she is still based in DC.

Jim is semi-retired and living in upstate NY but he has never been able to give away the game entirely and still makes special broadcasts 4-5 times a year. Doris died a couple of years back and he battles with loneliness and isolation from the rest of the FYI team but Miles in particular makes the effort to see him regularly. Overall he is happy despite his loss.

Frank is essentially still Frank he is working for 60 Minutes as a reporter and he is still the ladies man through and through, his longest relationship lasted six months and ended in total disaster, he sometimes regrets not settling down and having kids but realizes that the married life probably wouldn't suit him.

Miles is still living in NY, he is married to a Jewish woman and has three sons who he rarely sees thanks to to the fact that he is still a workaholic. His relationship with his wife is strained and he is just now coming around to the idea that work isn't everything.

Now, what do you think the characters are up to?

The fanlisting for the show/characters that we have linked in the comm profile is up for adoption. The thread is here. There are many, many others up as well, so it's definitely worth looking through if running a fanlisting is something that you think might interest you. I'd hate to see that fanlisting die, so I hope someone will pick it up!

GOSH I REALLY LIKE MAKING GIFS, and I have a fairly good-sized batch ready for your saving/using pleasure. They've been accumulating for quite a while, so I figured it was finally time to share.

The files are fairly large, so they may take a while to load. They may also load incorrectly and if that happens, just refresh until whatever's wonky quits being wonky, or view the image by itself.

If there's something specific that you want, I'm open to requests. :)

ooh la la!Collapse )

CBS has uploaded not one, but two videos from The Early Show reunion yesterday! The first is the reunion itself, while the second is some kind of hokey (but nevertheless still entertaining) backstage segment with a kid named "Adam The Audience Guy".

They're both on YouTube, and both under the cut. Enjoy if you missed them!

The cast is on The Early Show tomorrow morning! I repeat, the cast is on The Early Show tomorrow morning!

I personally can't believe I didn't know about this, and there appears to be zero information about it on the Early Show site, but according to my DVR and the DVR of cheapmetaphor, it's true!

I'm unsure as to what time they'll be on, but The Early Show runs on CBS from 7 AM to 9 AM ET.

Hi, everybody. I know we have a couple of icon makers in here who have made Murphy icons in the past, so I wanted to put this idea forward.

How would you feel about having a weekly icontest within the community? It probably wouldn't be anything that anyone would "win", persay, but perhaps just a regular thing where an image can be provided and anyone can comment to that post with an icon or icons that they were able to create with said image. It might give us something fun to do and might give us some great icons, too!

Poll #1459599 icons icons hooray hooray

Would you be interested in/participate in icon-making events?

I'm interested and would want to participate!

I found this a while ago, but realized that neither I nor anyone else had shared it!

Some of you may remember when we found ads for the show dubbed in Hungarian. If you thought that was cool, then you're gonna love the end of the pilot dubbed in Japanese!

From what I can tell, the dialogue is incredibly close to the original English. Pretty freaking cool, imho!

Right here is a nice little article from what appears to be a German blogger about a question that I know I ask myself every day: Whatever happened to Murphy Brown?

The world, as they say, may never know. At least at this rate.
